Join Vegetarian Nutrition DPG

You must be an Academy member to join VN DPG. Annual dues are $30 for Members and $10 for Student Members for the June 1 to May 31 Academy year starting June 1, 2023. Contact the Academy's membership team at membership@eatright.org or 800/877-1600, ext. 5000 to indicate your interest in signing up for the new DPG starting February of 2024 for the membership year beginning June 2024.

Lindsay Schmitz 
MS, RD, LDN

Lindsay is the owner of Live Smarter Nutrition & Wellness, practicing in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA. She specializes in weight management, plant-forward eating, disease prevention, gastrointestinal issues, wellness and educating consumers about pure, safe, alternative personal and home care choices. Lindsay has ventured into the FQHC world and sees patients one day/week in this at-risk population. 

 

Lindsay is in the beginning of serving as VN's House of Delegates (HOD) representative. The HOD serves as a voice of Academy members and identifies and develops solutions to some of the challenges facing the profession (critical issues). The HOD supports and encourages proactive communication and continually seeks member input on issues affecting the profession. In addition to this volunteer position, Lindsay serves as a public policy co-chair for the Pittsburgh chapter of the Pennsylvania Academy and is on the public policy committee for the Weight Management DPG.

 

Lindsay earned her bachelor's from the University of Dayton and Master's in Sports Nutrition from the University of Aberdeen (Scotland).
