Connect with VN DPG for a special evening with small bites, beverages, and a special speaker. VN has invited Robyn Tiger, MD, DipABLM to share an empowering presentation that explores what, why, and how of stress relief through the lens of Lifestyle Medicine. Registration cost is $20 for VN Members, $15 for VN Student and Retired Members and $40 for Academy members.

VN/DDPG Spotlight Session Accepted for FNCE®

The VN and Diabetes DPG's Spotlight Session: Advancing Type 2 Diabetes Management with Plant-Based Diets: Fresh Evidence, Cultural Insights, and Practical Strategies" is planned for Monday, October 13, from 3:30 – 5:00pm CST. 

With type 2 diabetes affecting over 37 million Americans and disproportionately impacting communities of color, registered dietitians need innovative, culturally responsive approaches to disease management. While vegetarian diets have shown promising results in diabetes care, implementing these dietary patterns requires careful consideration of cultural food traditions and patient preferences.
